The Outland Arts Booth from Kamcon23 in Kamloops, BC, Canada. And there I stand waiting to answer questions like “Is this like D&D?”

Actually, while sales were regrettably low, and I think the recession has really bitten into people’s spending habits, interest was high and a lot of gamers discovered The Mutant Epoch for the first time. Thanks to Danny Seedhouse for rolling up characters and running TME all weekend, and Kevin and the other drafted volunteers for helping watch the booth or set up and take down the display. We’ll be back bigger and better next year in the same corner. And thanks also go to all the organizers and volunteers for #kamcon. They, like the convention attendees and other vendors, were fantastic!

A couple of weekends ago my wife and I got away for a great little camp trip to Lac La Jeune, British Columbia. Hot during the day and frigid at night, but fabulous.

Attacking from shallow water, packs of these half meter long ambush predators will latch onto prey and use their serrated teeth to thrust from side to side to saw into the flesh of their victims.

Acidic Mutant Mushroom

Do. Not. Touch. These.

When disturbed, these mushrooms will shoot out a spray of acid, and since they grow in patches, a passerby could be fired upon by many.
